I’m 66 now but my first visit was at 16 y.o. What an indelible impression this place made on me at a young age. I used to live near there and still go back to Shrine of the Pines when I go back.

This man had as much insight as any famous artist. I’ve been to many places and this is still among my top of the list of places. It’s almost like an illusion except you see all this incredible work before your eyes and it’s hard to comprehend how he saw the vision and then made all this furniture out of incredible pieces of wood he found. Huge pieces of roots and stumps without the aid of electrical tools.

If I could live anywhere, it would be in the confines of this hunting lodge. Totally mesmerizes me every time I go.
