We stayed at one of the cabana sites, right on the lake (although the water was 20 feet down). Really peaceful and pretty, although I imagine during summer it’s probably packed. The sites were really jammed too tightly together, so in off season it was good, but it would be over crowded if full. Site was clean, but maintained only so-so.

I can’t say enough good things about Trailer Lane RV Park and the owners/hosts, Karen and Jay. First of all, a quaint little park tucked into a wooded valley in Weed, CA. (just north of Mt. Shasta). Special kudos to Jay who, after some unforeseen circumstances, had to shuffle some of the site reservations. We weren’t pleased with where we landed and when I voiced my displeasure to Jay he immediately fixed the situation. He picked me up in his cart and showed me every possible site until I found one I liked. It ended up being right next to our initial reservation. The point is, Karen and Jay go above and beyond to make their customers happy!

This is an awesome campground! Spent 2 nights and really enjoyed the roomy sight with beautiful views. One of the camp employees, Jon, was great and had lots of information about where to find what we were looking for in our day trips. A word to the wise, during peak times get there early morning for a site as they are 1st come, 1st served. We will definitely be back to Gros Ventre!
