We stayed here at the end of June and the wildflowers were abundant and amazing.
AT&T signal was intermittent. Sometimes 2 bars of 3g, sometimes nothing and sometimes 2 bars LTE.

The view overlooking the Colorado River and the rock formations was amazing. However, it was very windy and the dirt road to get here was long, rocky and sandy. Although the sites were well spread out, it was noisier than I would have expected.
We were here in May 2020 and the bathrooms were locked due to COVID concerns.

Great mountain biking trails for all levels. There are also off-road motor sports activities as well as cross country skiing in the winter. Be sure to check the weather before coming, as it can be very cold and windy. But with the right conditions, it’s hard to beat. Campsites are disbursed amongst the rocks, and restroom facilities are limited. Entering from the east side involves a very steep hill. There is another entrance on the west side, which is supposedly more gentle. However, we’ve not tried it.

We really enjoyed paddling (kayak and SUP) in this protected cove of Lake Granby. The views were great and the site (30) was nice, although it was a bit closer to 31 than I’d prefer. However that fact wouldn’t stop me from going back. Sites 35-37 had their own beach. They were a bit tight, but would be great for a group. We did the Monarch Lake hike nearby, which was easy and enjoyable. Cell phone service was interesting. AT&T varied from No Service to 5 bars of 3G. I thought I’d be safe for my Teams meeting, but I wasn’t. Verizon varied from 1 bar of 4G to 4 bars.

We stayed in Bears Ear site 9, which we think is the best one in the park. It had a short walk to a small beach. Site 8 also had access to this beach. We stayed here Monday night, August 29th, and were the only ones in the Bears Ear campground, other than the host. Bears Ear has no hook-ups. However, Pronghorn has electric and our choices for sites would be 29, 30 & 34.
We just did an overnight while traveling. But, would come back to paddle, mountain bike and stargaze.
With our WeBoost, we varied between 2 & 3 bars for AT&T and Verizon.

This is a nice campground with lots of pull-throughs and trees. Fly fishing is a popular activity here. It was a bit noisy, both from the near by road and occasional trains. We stayed here on a Saturday night in July 2020, and there were a few open spots.

Site #202 had a good view of the lake, but no lake access due to the marshy shoreline. Site #205 is the only site with lake access. Lots of wildflowers and wildlife, with a symphony of cranes (birds, not equipment). No boat ramps on this side of the lake.
As mentioned in another review, sites 201, 202, 204, and 205 have no shade. We were fortunate that site #203 was unoccupied, so we hung out there for a while.
The 209-227 loop has lots of dense vegetation and many of the sites are quite private.
AT&T varied from No Service to 2 bars. We got some internet service with our Airstream Connected system when AT&T (which Connected uses) had 2 bars. Verizon varied from No Service to 2 bars.
The dirt road to the campground was a little rough.

Situated near Lake Powell, the location is hard to beat. We stayed in loop D, but I would have preferred loops A, B or C, as the sites are more spread out in those loops.

We stayed here in June 2021, hoping to kayak/SUP from the campground. Unfortunately due to drought, the lake water level was low and it was going to be a very long walk to launch our watercraft. Instead, we drove to the boat ramp on the other side of the lake. According to our campground neighbors, the fly fishing near the campground was good, though. Most sites were pretty private and located in the trees. Ours (site 12) was more open providing more sun, but also visible neighbors. We would stay here again (in another site) with the intention of biking and hiking instead of paddling.
