I stopped here on my way to WA. First at Peltier campground, then Clear Creek camp. Beautiful. Campground #1 was taken but it had its own little lagoon and mini beach that drained into the creek. Mine was #2. I'm 22, pretty good shape. I took off my shoes and put on some swim shorts and went downstream. Hopping on rocks and swimming through a couple parts. I came across one of the most beautiful stretches of land I have seen in a long time. Waterfall after waterfall. The rocks, the plants, everything. Amazing.
Watch your footing though, rocks underwater will be slippery and be sure to use your hands and traverse on all fours as much as possible.
It's 20$ for a week pass, and 10$ per night.
I was coming up from sacramento to WA and could not find any butcher shops that made their own jerky. I stopped here and they only have 3 jerky flavors: garlic, teriyaki, and fire hot. The fire hot was amazing! I bought a pound for 20$ and another pound for later that they air vacuumed in a bag. This place is small, but worth it. they smoke everything here.
