In the 1980s and 90s, I was employed by Idaho Dept. of Commerce as the film commissioner when Dante's Peak was made. It was a wonderful experience to help the production choose Wallace as their main location, help them through production, meet Pierce Brosnan (and get a cheek kiss), and see Wallace as if it had been covered in ash. And, BTW, the famous man-hole cover began as a drunken fight in a bar about whether Wallace (or elsewhere) was the true Center of the Universe. Enjoy historic Wallace. I certainly have many times.
