It's beautiful and well-kept, but the campground is a bit too busy for my taste. I love biking and exploring out there and it's nice if you want to get outdoors, but want a more relaxing trip. There are a lot of great shops and restaurants right in Fish Creek.
There's so much to do here and it's absolutely gorgeous! We visited in late fall and there had been a lot of rain already, so we weren't able to stay as long as we would have liked (temperatures dropped, storms rolled in, and our site was already partially under water). We'll definitely be back.
We thought we were lost driving back to find the trail. If you feel like you might be trespassing on private property and are seeing gun shots through all of the road sings, you're probably in the right spot. We visited in late spring, and it was gorgeous. We climbed down and walked along the lower falls. Definitely worth the stop!
There's a lot to see! It's a nice stop right off of the HWY 13. There's also a short trail in a pine forest towards the back. It's a great place to get out and stretch your legs for a bit.
The sites were nice and private, bathrooms well-kept.
It was a pretty decent place to stay for a couple of days. The shot tower/smelter house was neat.
There's so much to see! It's a very odd and interesting place to spend the day. Even better when you read up on the history.
Wrong location.
