I CANNOT say enough good things about this place. Featured on a Netflix documentary and for a good reason. While the lines can be a little long and the parking can be difficult, it's worth it! The owners are such kind humans who care about the food and people they serve. It's authentic, delicious, the prices can't be beat, and it feels like you are sitting at a family table. It's a MUST!

A self-guided tour that is WONDERFUL. We could have spent a whole day hear reading, learning, and exploring. You are able to see so much and learn about the history of the Penitentiary system as well as the current system. It's historical and haunting all at the same time. Wear a jacket because it's colder inside than outside due to the materials the building is made of. Can't say enough good things about this experience!

It's a quick stop that isn't too far out of the way. Located in a cute town if you have a few minutes to stop and shop with the businesses close by selling Longaberger baskets. It is falling apart but easily accessible if you're interested in a quick photo

Reddish Knob offers some beautiful views of the Valley and a crossing point of Virginia and West Virginia's state lines. It is covered in graffiti from local high school and college students and is a popular spot for watching the sunrise and sunset. The drive up the mountain is NOT an easy one and is known for wreck so please be careful if you decide to visit.

One of my FAVORITE spots to visit! It was unexpected but so worth it. We went during the day as to avoid the haunting feeling but you could feel the supernatural in the air. The self-guided tour was free and informational. You have free reign of the entire compound as long as you are being safe and the gift shop inside that interesting artifact and information. A find like no other! 100% recommend!

It's quirky, strange, and worth a stop. It's a little bit off the interstate but worth the drive because it's not something you're going to see again. I agree that it give off major horror movie vibes but only in the quiet creepy kinda way!
