Set up our tent here for three nights. Great place. Sites are nice. All include picnic tables, fire pit/bbq grills and some have shelters. Very beautiful area. We did the dog canyon day hike our first day. I'd say it was moderately difficult but worth it. Fantastic views. Bring lots of water and stay on the trail. A woman was stranded 2 nights after getting lost right before we arrived. Second day we went to the space museum which was very interesting and then spent the rest of the day at white Sands. I definitely recommend being there during the sunset hours. Anyways, the park is great, the Rangers are very helpful friendly and the camp is generally made up mostly of a really nice retired community. We'll be back!
