I visited when closed, there looks to be a peaceful pond (with fountain) in the internal courtyard. Theres a human sundial at entrance and a walking path with plant IDs around the buildkng. Theres a fairly barren hilly area behind it, with shaded tables, that could be good for a dog walk and leg stretch.
Theres a public park immediately across the street with bathrooms and grass. Immediately off of a well traveled road.
While the museum was closed (4/9/21) there are two different metal horse art installations out front, Rite Of Passage by Sandy Scott and Free Spirits At Noisy Water by Dave McGary.
Pull out with a two sided display (about the Hondo Valley and Historic Lincoln), benches and trash cans. No restrooms.
As of 3/30/21 still closed. (And I didnt spot any irises.)
