Sentimental value here because my mom grew up here. It was super windy and the lake was having a fit but there are several pavilions and playgrounds and the beach. Even with the horrible wind there were kids playing. It was lovely.
I didn’t camp here just wanted to hike after driving. The trail map they give you isn’t helpful. I ended up walking along the main road which is not what I wanted. Bathrooms were closed. If you come here to hike, just walk down to the beach instead.
A small roadside family owned place. Reasonable pricing. Nothing fancy. WiFi isn’t good unless you stand out in the parking lot by the soda machine. But it fits the bill for a nice hot shower and sleeping behind a locked door.
I’m here on a Saturday in September and they are open! Nice little hike along Lake Erie.
Took the tour and it was so worth it. Lovely place and great history. The guide (Danny) was super knowledgeable and personable.

Lots of other falls and a different view of the biggees. It’s a good walk so wear comfy shoes or take the trolley. Pack a snack tho cuz the snack bars are awful.
