I love the tramway. I have taken my family several times. Word of advice, skip the restaurant at the top. I think a lot of people get to the top of the mountain and feel obligated to eat at the restaurant (or they made a reservation to save money on tram tickets). When you get to the top, take a 30-45 hike across the ridge. The trail isn't difficult in good weather, the views are great. Worst case scenario, just get drinks in the restaurant bar.

Service is terrible, decor is old and out-dated, food is overpriced and average at best. If this restaurant was located in the city, they would be out-of-business in 6 months. I have been there 3 times, everytime I convince myself it'll be better than the last... it isn't. If you are looking for something to do at the top of the mountain (and/or justify your $20 tram tickets), skip the restaurant and go for a 30-45 hike across the ridge. The views are amazing, and the trail isn't particularly difficult.

Worth a 10 minute stroll, if you have time to kill. Great Architecture and a few photo opportunities. There is a small military museum, next to the football field.
