I am a road tripper at heart. I love to be on the road visiting all the sites. I enjoy hiking, visiting National Parks, stopping at quilt stores, Museums, Lighthouses, eating local food and washing it all down with a cold craft beer,

Not a bad sonic, we were in and out with the drinks we ordered in pretty quick time. Just a little ways east of the campus makes for a good place to grab a cold drink before the drive home.

Cracker Barrel has a place in my heart when it comes to good old country favorites. It had been a long time since we had been to a Cracker Barrel so when our hotel did not provide a free breakfast, we knew exactly where we were going for breakfast.

We arrived pretty early and had not problem getting our seat. I think that the wait staff was trying to finish up a couple of things for the start of the day, so I was very impressed that after seating us the manager came to our table to serve us until the waitstaff was ready.

I had one of the breakfast specials that gave me eggs, hash browns, sausage and biscuits and gravy. I love getting this combo and have a special way of getting the perfect bites out of the meal.

Would it be to strange to get a order of dumplings for breakfast?

The Desert Rat is an awesome outfitter that know their stuff and the adventures around the area. We just happened upon this store and ended up picking up a lot of clothing because their selection is amazing. For example, I could not believe the selection of sizes they had of Parna pants which is my favorite pant/short to wear.

If you are into backpacking, climbing, hiking or many other outdoor activities, then the Desert Rat is the place for you to get your gear.

I was very impressed in what I found at the Fort Smith National Historic Site. I did not know what to expect for a historic site so close to the local downtown. They have done a great job of telling the story of the fort that stood here and was an important part to the development of the Western Frontier.

The cutaway exhibit of the jail is amazing, it is so well done it will blow your mind. I was also impressed with the historical depiction of the courtroom, you feel like they could be holding court later in the day. The exhibits were also very well done, with lots of information about the fort over time and the outlaws and lawmen that ended up here.

In addition, the gift shop had some great books and a nice selection of souvenirs.

Be sure that you do not miss walking out to the other building, the depiction of the quartermaster is very well done.

I went here on the recommendation of some friends from my office as i had some business to do at a business very close by. They had obviously been here a couple times before because they were really recommending it. Well they were absolutely right to do so. The good old word of mouth can work just as good as Yelp does, well almost as good.

I had the enchiladas with mole sauce. I was impressed with the size of the serving. When I get a rolled enchilada plate any more I usually get two enchiladas. On this plate I got three. I really enjoy just getting egg and onion enchiladas instead of eating the chicken and they were glad to accommodate my request. They were served with beans and rice that were very good and were the right amount.

The mole sauce was delicious just like I remember having it in New Mexico. The sauce was slightly sweet and rich in its flavor profile while being mild on the spicy side. I found that I was trying to soak it up with my enchiladas in every bite, but there was so much of the delicious sauce there was still some left after I finished the last bite of enchilada.

I will definitely be back. There is not a lot of options in the area, but this place would be great even if it were surrounded by others.

I have had this place on my book mark list for a while now, and finally made it for lunch this afternoon. I was very impressed with the food and think that it is delicious. My favorite of the tacos so far is the carnitas. The pork is so tender, well seasoned and tasted great in the flour tortillas. I also had the barbacoa which was great if you are a beef fan. It was a little heavy for me and just did not have the same flavor as the pork when you are them side by side.

I really enjoyed the soup that came with the meal. It had amazing flavor and a great spice profile. The beans and the broth were delicious and I ate my whole bowl. I don't know if this is what made it so that I could not eat my forth taco or what but I was definitely feeling terrible not being able to each everything.

The cash register staff was a little on the un=personal side and really hurt the experience so it is only four stars today, but hey will definitely have a chance to earn the fifth star when I return.

Oh my gosh I have fallen in love. This is the worlds best find for a bear lover with 50 bears on tap all the time and a changing selection it is a tasters dream. I ended up trying 8 different beers here today in small taster glasses and was then able to purchase growlers of the beers that really impressed me.

The rotating menu of beers on the TV screen is cool, because while you are enjoy your fist beer or beers, you can be selecting and choosing your next selection. We ended up getting 2 flights of 4 beers each. The computer screen is cool because it tells you how much of the keg is left, and in the short time we were there we watch one keg go dry and it was replaced with a different brew once the line was cleaned. What makes this cooled is that you can go online at home and see what is on tap that day before making the choice of heading down to the Tap and Cap.

If you are new to growlers, their prices for getting a new growler are extremely reasonable or you can bring one from home if you already have them.

Went out to this place for dinner with a group of my colleagues from work. It was conveniently located in the Seaport Village next to our hotel and was an easy walk over for dinner. The restaurant itself seems like it is suffering from a midlife crisis, things are beat-up and it just gives off a vibe of being a place that is struggling a bit to survive.

I had the clam chowder and it was pretty good. The soup was creamy and had a nice proportion of clams and other ingredients with it. Dinner was ok, but to be honest now that I am writing this review, I can not remember what I had so it did not leave that great of an impression on me. I am going to have to think about this, and if I can remember I will had to edit my review.

I have a feeling that if you are from out of town, and want to have an amazing dinner, there might other options that would be better in the area.

It seems like San Diego is in the middle of trying to update their airport. There are parts of it that were great and yet the gate I left from was cramped and had terrible seating for waiting for your flight.

After getting off my plane you had to walk a greater distance than what seemed necessary to get to baggage claim. Baggage claim has been updated and was open and light. Catching a ride outside in the passenger pick up area was easy.

On our way out of town, I found that security was easy. I think that I was fortunate because of the time of our flight that there were not very long lines. The TSA seemed to have adequate staff and lines open to handle the number of people getting ready to board flights.

I wanted to grab some breakfast and the maps of the restaurants did not seem to be accurate so I was not able to find what I really wanted and settled for a Jack in the Box, which is about the grossest thing but I never get on a plane hungry.

Finally, the gate area is the worst. We were at gate 29 there is no way that an airport designer would have ever thought this area was a good idea. It is like they put two gates in a small hallway and said, "that should do it". I am not a claustrophobic person, but this just about caused some serious anxiety. The gate area is in need of a update.

I have been pretty pleased with my experience at The Parking Spot. I find the staff to be courteous and on the ball. When I park, the van is there at my spot within minutes to pick me up. The ride to the terminal is quick and I am on my way to my flight.

On the way home I find that they are pretty good about picking you up, while the construction at DFW makes it hard to find the courtesy shuttle pickup area sometimes, this is not their fault. Depending on the volume of people coming in, you can circle around to the other terminals for a few minutes picking up other passengers, but that is part of the gig.

Upon check-in during the morning hours they offer a newspaper, and at check out they will provide you with a bottle of water which I am always thankful for after my flight.

I plan on continuing to use The Parking Spot for my travels.
