A fun challenge. The hike to the lake is grueling but offers great views of the dunes.

Short hike to a great view of the lake and nearby dunes. From the lake you can extend your hike north or south for several more miles.

Nice facilities. The walk-in primitive tent sites were well spaced out and offered a very relaxing, tranquil experience.

Facilities are nice but the interstate 196 was so loud that it made it difficult to sleep (in a tent).
