Free entry, loads of cool stuff to see. There's a butterfly room (you need to wait in line but it looked worth it), whale skeletons, a whole floor dedicated to arthropods, and more.
Dedicated staff, well-kept facilities, cool stuff to see for kids and adults regarding sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation.
One of the coolest free playgrounds I've ever seen! Lots of interesting and uncommon equipment for all ages, abilities, and interests. Fairly clean bathrooms. It has that great, spongy recycled rubber ground. Plenty of fencing so the littles don't escape.
I camped here overnight with a one year old and it was pretty great. Very clean and well maintained facilities, plenty of things for families to do (a few different playgrounds, hiking trails), and nice little gravel pads for camping. No one was at the ranger station when I got in so I was a little disoriented when I arrived; I feel like the signage could be a little more idiot-proof. The staff I encountered later were very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of nature to enjoy but I could still occasionally hear planes, trains, and automobiles.
Pretty clean, nice playground with a chain link fence around it, plenty of paved paths to wander around (with easily accessible water features that toddlers will sprint toward but should not enter), sizeable skate park
Awesome free playground for all ages and abilities
Absolutely stunning and serene, I wish I had budgeted several more hours here. I carried my baby but you could get around most places with a stroller.
