You are able to search for trilobites in the shale field and keep a few. About a 1/4 mile hike back to the field. There is an information board, picnic tables and outhouse.

This historical spot is a great spot to stretch your legs and your mind. A 1/4-ish loop takes you through iron ruins, juniper and pinon trees. There are signs explaining the area.
