I called earlier in the day to ask if I could spend the night. They said sure just pull around to parking Lot E. We pulled in around 10 pm. There were still several spots along the curb and many in the middle if the lot were open. We pulled along a curb and pushed out our slide. I had to pile the Lego Blocks 3 high to level us. There was about 20 RVs, 10 trucks, and 1 pop-up. The night was mostly silent with a few cars driving through. Lot E is for Employees; so a few were in a hurry to go home.
We slept in the following morning till about 9, and when we finally got ready to leave there was still several RVs there.
Yes, I’ll be back to sleep here again.
We just love COE (Corps of engineers) campgrounds. This one seems to have gotten skipped over, while others we have stayed in have been remodeled. it is a beautiful campground. There is only electricity at the campsite, so be sure to fill up before setting up and unhitching. Many of the sites are rocked driveway pads and most are farely level left to right. Bath house is clean. We paid only $15 per night because my husband has a "America the Beautiful " Pass (military disabled). Also, they had the cleanest and most convenient Dumps I’ve ever used.
Our sit is probaly a little muddy when it’s raining. And the path to the water was very muddy even without it raining.
We enjoyed our say and We’ll be back to stay again
