This historic landmark is surrounded by a very busy oil highway, but is it very peaceful. There is the Missouri-Yellowstone Influence Interpretive Center near there. Also, the first masonic building.

The Fort is amazing, I was transported into the past. I walked into every open door, read every sign, stared at the walkway entrance and even checked to see if the door to the beautiful house would open. Guess what, it does. It is a fascinating place to learn about our history. It is very peaceful.
