Found a spot away from the in & out semis. Highway noise not too loud. Train noise not too loud. We have T-Mobile and had 4 bars. Also, TV reception had the local NBC affiliate.
Would stay again.

We arrived on Friday Juneteenth.
Quite a few campers but still plenty of places to camp. We just followed the smooth dirt road down until we found the place we wanted to stay. Then off the road into the “grass”.
The place we selected had a fire ring (rocks in a circle). We were able to find a level spot left to right but the nose had to be raised quite a bit to level.
It’s very cool that the other folks have so much freedom to let their dogs fly joyfully all over the place. Wish we’d brought ours.
I am posting this review on site on T -Mobile. My Verizon jet pack isn’t receiving a signal. Whodathunkit?
Google maps nailed it!

Very neat and tidy. We were only there for one night. It wasn’t far off of I-30 but we couldn’t hear the highway traffic. They put us in a pull through where we could stay connected (we are 50’ long). This was the cleaned most well maintained KOA I’ve seen. The pool looked very nice and sat up on a hill so it did have some privacy. Lots of trees all throughout the campground. We arrived after 6:00 and they had our welcome package outside waiting for us.

There are about 10 spots on the side of the building specifically for RVs. There is a dump station, also.
On one end there are a few pens for dogs on concrete and a water connection. On the other end is the dump station and “horse corrals” (tiny)
There is a trash can that was emptied at some point during the night.
The folks there are super friendly.

Well set up dump station. On the southbound side of I-35 but not difficult to cross over. Easy in and out!
I’d dump here again!
The phone number did not work and there was very little post COVID info available but we headed down anyway.
We pulled a 26 foot Airstream and had no problems. We took the Arivaca road off of 286. Between mile marker 3 & 4 is the main dirt road which has most of the campsites. You do not have to go check in at this time. The visitors center is closed but there was a very nice volunteer (Barbara) who answered all our questions.
We turned north and passed many suitable campsites most unoccupied (we arrived on a Saturday). Great dry camping experience.
T-Mobile had 2 bars and download speed was 35mbps. Upload speed VERY SLOW. AT&T had 2 bars. I didn’t try a speed test.

We are not horse people, but we loved this super quiet country stay with Spanish moss hanging from huge oak trees after spending a month in the keys.
The spots are huge, we selected a pull through site and our 50 foot long rig had no problems at all staying connected.
It was so wonderfully peaceful. We will definitely go back there again. Great cell reception we use T-Mobile.

We’ve stayed in a bunch of rest areas. This one is just a single road. Trucks parallel park on both sides of the road and fly down the road between all the parked trucks.
Also, I-10 is VERY CLOSE. The noise from the highway was pound enough to wake us up often.
Would we stay here again? Only if we were desperate.
As an RV Park this place is perfect. It isn’t a beautiful national park so don’t expect great scenery. It is very conveniently located off of I-15 north of Helena.
Every amenity was as advertised except for the WiFi. It was AWESOME. If WiFi is important to you, this is your campground. They have multiple hotspots throughout the place.
The showers and toilets were clean and great and the laundry was very nice.

$6.00 now. As stated before there are four spots with covered picnic tables. No hookups. There are no fire rings but each site has an elevated charcoal grill.
The ground is almost level and very rocky. Coming into the area, there is a sizable dip which might bottom out larger rigs (26 foot airstream was fine).
The lake is good looking, views are pretty good- large power lines though. We were going for remote and were surprised to see condos and “Hookers 1-stop” just a quarter mile away. (Think fishing hooks, not women of ill repute).
Still, it was very quiet with only the infrequent drone of a boat motor to break through the ever present tinnitus.
The park has one dump station, about a half hour away in a different campground.
We were there on Super Bowl night 2020 and our T Mobile connection was good enough to receive texts and get Internet scores but not to stream.
My wife says the skies were beautiful and star filled when she got up to pee.
