The park in an of itself is alright. It's the location and events that make it worth a visit. The nearby shops are good to walk around and visit on a nice weather day. And the city holds a number of events worth a visit such as movie nights, swing dancing, live bands and art festivals.
Secluded park that isn't as frequently visited. Artists sometimes can be seen painting the scenery of the park.
The Sugar Mill pancake house is not to be missed. It's a long wait unless you arrive early though. That's the main reason we go here. The swimming area is huge and the kids love to splash around. There is a small playground and a couple of trails as well. It's a nice place to get the family outside.
The facilities are looking dated and run down; however, that doesn't make this park any less fun to go visit. The mermaid shows are one-of-a-kind and impressive for both kids and adults.
Fun to pass by and make jokes about the giant peach. There is a Fatz restaurant nearby which is a good place to stop for a bite to eat.
