I have lived in So Cal all my life and I love the desert so when I found out about this place I couldn't believe that I didn't know about it before. I have been back twice in the same year. The first time just my boyfriend and I, the 2nd time my brother and kids ages 6 to 13. They all had a blast climbing the ladders, hiking the canyon and seeing all the different rocks and colors. A couple tips your car can get stuck on the way in, it can make it but we saw some people stuck. There are bees and at some spots lots of them just be aware. Bring water and snacks. Come early, it can get packed and really hot as the day gets later. ALWAYS check the weather, this is a wash, you don't want to get caught in this area during a down pour.
