If you enjoy nature and state parks, this is a great place to stay. Many miles of trails, a boardwalk across swampy and bay water, civil war trivia and the remnants of a long long town. The employees are all extremely friendly and helpful and even went an extra mile to help us with a problem we had. The site we stayed at wasn't very level and the roads caused a little trouble for our tow dolly due to the hills but it wasn't anything that would stop us from staying again.

There are several grocery stores about 5 miles away, as well as a Bass Pro shop with an amazing restaurant. The front office sells local honey.
