Well, just to let y'all know. We will not be using Proctor Lake Lodge next year. Sure enough, when they came to lock up the building on Sunday I received a text message wanting yet more money for cleaning. This is after having taken our $100 deposit and another $100 cleaning fee prepaid this year on top of the $550 rental. They felt that even though we had taken all the trash out and wiped the counters and tables we should also have cleaned up the building by putting up all the tables and chairs. Maybe it is me being petty, but at a $100 cleaning fee, I felt they could put up the tables and chairs after they disinfected them all down to clean them. The text messages were very threating and if they had had a credit card on file they were going to charge us another $100. (No they have not card on file as well as we never had a contract this year with the NEW OUT OF TOWN OWNERS.) Anyway, the end of it was they said we were disinvited to come back as we were too disrespectful of their property since we did not fold up the tables and chairs and left them to be put up as they were cleaned. I thought that is what a cleaning fee was for, cleaning.
