Beautiful hidden gem, easy to get to and worth the short walk to the falls. You can walk right to the bottom of the falls and there is also a trail that you can walk up the side to basically look down onto the falls.
The old houses are beautiful and well maintained. The park at the top of the hill is nice with pavilions, playground, fountain and several benches to sit back and enjoy the view of the river and bluffs
We stopped in Selma and found The Sand Bar. It was close to downtown and right on the Alabama River. I had the catfish sandwich and my husband had the chicken tenders basket. The catfish was excellent and I put their coleslaw on top, yummy! The staff were super friendly and it was a good atmosphere and enjoying the river view
This is a small family owned motel conveniently located just off the highway. They are known for their clean sparkly rooms and they definitely have clean rooms. There was no musty smell sometimes associated with motels. This was very clean, smelled clean and I would definitely stay here again. Beds were good, not too soft and adequate number of pillows. Towels were surprisingly thicker than the usual thin hotel towels. Prices were reasonable
Very picturesque. Be sure to look for the times it goes off. I thought it would go every hour but that wasn't the case. Still enjoy walking around the area.
This was a nice hotel just on the edge of Pella. Convenient to Lake Red Rock as well as downtown Pella. The rooms were clean and staff friendly. Had an issue with accessing our room (key would not work) but was quickly moved to another room.
This was a very nice and clean hotel just off the highway. It was very quiet, rooms were clean and next door was a Bob Evans Restaurant. They had good food and service. Would definitely stay here again.
Wanted a room with a view of the river and it did not disappoint. The hotel seems dated somewhat but the rooms are adequate and clean. Easy to walk to attractions and restaurants from the hotel.
Very nice little plaza honoring Lewis and Clark.
Due to storm damage, the tours are cancelled at this time. Looks like tornado damage to this building and surrounding homes as well as the capitol rotunda. 9/5/19
