We love this campground because it’s very close to family so it’s convenient to visit. There are lots of trees so the grounds are shady. Our grandsons liked the mini golf. It, like a other things in the park feel dated and in need of a sprucing up. The concrete around the pool has been patched and patched, very rough. That said, it’s a nice size and very refreshing on hot days.

We usually go to Sanibel to try and avoid SWFL hubbub but brought our dog this time to a pet friendly place. Our site looked out on a canal in the Estero Bay Area. We saw dolphins every day and a manatee once. If you can stay within the park you can forget about the craziness and traffic in this area. Staff very responsive and park well maintained. Pool somewhat small but still refreshing.
There’s a club of some kind nearby so we heard the music, mostly reverberating drums, sometimes until two in the morning.

We stayed the day after the park opened. I guess it was a wet spring because the grounds were wet and muddy. Our sight was especially bad. There were other, drier sites available but the hosts 1) did not let us know about the condition of the ground and 2) didn’t offer to reassign us to a better site. It’s off the beaten path so in that respect a nice park. There are a lot of long term units that have sheds, patios, etc. built up around them.

This is a wonderful park. It’s very popular so we usually only come in late Fall. The weather has cooperated— sunny and not too cold. There are lots of great hiking trails. The campground is great— must reserve online.

Beautiful park. Drive through sites are very uneven. We had to park on a slant. Many locals camp here and they definitely knew the drive through sites weren’t good. Nice swimming area with beach. Bit of a drive from I-35 but it was worth it.

Okay park for a stopover. Lots of trees so sites are shady (big deal when temp in the upper 80s when we were there in mid-June). Arrangement of sites seems odd— our neighbor’s site backed up next to us and other sides located near the Mississippi River were stacked together so view of the river was halved by the camper in front. Sites on east end didn’t have any views of the river and were heavily covered which
might be an issue because the no see’ums were pesky at sites with river views where there was a breeze. Railroad tracks VERY close but the couple of trains that came by were short even though loud, didn’t hear any RR noise at night.
