You will see a big sign and a large house. That is the right place. Didn't actually get to go inside having arrived at 6... Called and owner said they closed at 5:30. Bummer.
On a roadtrip, usually planning ahead for sleeping arrangements is hard. I called this location June 6 looking to stay there the same evening and the recording says that 90% of the time, they will not have access to phone service and to email Amanda@salmonriverlodgeresort.com which would be most accessible. Needless to say, we did not book with them because that is not too convenient for on-the-road stay.
This is one of the best mom & pop businesses we visited on our 17 day western roadtrip. Shawn and Angie recently bought this establishment and do everything to make you feel home away from home. Huckleberry brownies, Huck ice cream, pie, margaritas and moonshine consumed our happy adventure to their bar. They have a small souvenir shop and lots of great stories. Check it out!
This is actually on an Indian reservation; kind of cool. Unfortunately, it was closed at 6 when we were passing through to get to Glacier National Park.
We also got lost using the Navigate directions. The review above helped us. The address is 457 S Chestnut which is the intersection of W Washington and S Chestnut. Only a minute off of the interstate so if you want to see it for yourself, go for it. There is nothing there beyond the car with spider legs. It's pretty much in someone's yard. I've added a picture of it next to a tree so you can get a good idea of how big it is. A car with stilts...
