Amazing! Definitely make a point to stop here for an hour or a day. The rose garden was everything I hoped it would be and more - and the entire park (Washington Park) was beautiful. Lots to do for the whole family. Only pay for parking - otherwise free.

Clean camp, seemed busy with people who loved it. We stayed one night on our way back home in the Midwest. Our site was on the creek, just beautiful. You have to pay for showers and the bathrooms closed at night but there were porta-potties on the grounds then. Not a bad place to stay - for $40 though the amenities weren't where they should be.

We stayed only one night on a cross-country road trip. It was a great stop along the way, even though we missed out on the cave tour. It was windy but our popup did fine. Only 4 stars because of the coin-operated showers. The playground was a highlight and the small trails from the campsites into the hills, as well as the drive along the cannon and river - were breathtaking ways to take in the scenery.

What a beautiful park, with so much to see and do. We had to buy firewood from the Penny Saver as the park itself didn't sell any by the time we needed it (not sure if this is the case during business hours or not) but we discovered a great grocery store (the food co-op!) and made plans to visit the historic downtown the next day. Plenty of wildlife, does and twin fawns all over the place. The fort was a fun discovery for our kids, they were fascinated with all the secret passageways (small ladders etc). Collecting shells on the beach and searching for crabs! Make sure you check out the orca exhibit as well as the marine science center where you get to touch sea life. We will be back, this was our kids favorite stop on our cross-country road trip. (Ages 11 and 8) One night was about $45 for our popup.

We didn't think too much about ferries while staying at Fort Worden and when we followed our map to our next destination ... Quickly learned we should have :) we ended up back tracking to the Kingston - Edmonds ferry as they don't take reservations (you can make one and have priority for boarding, but you can also show up and drive on, which is what we needed). A 30 minute ferry ride was a great break from driving with our kids and fun to experience. Our mini-van with popup trailer cost under $75.

After striking out in Spokane we ended up here for the night - and like another review mentioned - there were tons of little bugs but they don't bite and it wasn't much of a nuisance. The lot for the night was more expensive than the town lends itself to charge but it was beautiful, clean, staff was friendly and the locals were great. We venture to The Viking for dinner (great burgers!) and had quite a lot of wind for the night, but all in all - a good stop. There are very loud trains that run through the night & only 1 coin shower for women.

Not sure which campground of the 3 this points you to but it was covered in goose poop, lots of construction going on - and although the view was peaceful, it just wasn't the relaxing camping vibe we were hoping for. Coin operated showers and $35 for a site with electricity. Not for us.

Ray, working in the registration office, has been the nicest customer service person we've experienced on our cross-country road trip. We spent one night on a beautiful back-in site with a creek running behind us and a view of the mountains. The downtown Buffalo area is charming, helpful, and kind. A kamping kitchen made it easy to wash our dishes, which was a nice added bonus. Would stay here again - and now would also consider other KOA's. Before this we had sworn off "resort style" camping, but this setting was natural enough to feel rustic while still benefitting from the amenities.

We stayed at the Center Lake campground for one night on a cross-country road trip with our kids. This park has been, by far, our favorite of the whole trip. We ventured to Mt. Rushmore, enjoyed the amazing drive to our campsite as well as through the Black Hills. There was quite a storm the night we stayed here and the downpour, thunder, lightning was a weird added bonus to the setting of the campground. We stayed dry and safe and it was out of this world. Can't wait to come back.

Great stop, worth the drive and $15 entrance fee. We spent some time at the visitor center and did a couple hikes with our kids. You can climb on the badlands and explore to your hearts content.
