Great stay! Beautiful, interesting park. Fun hiking and exploring. Had to stay another night! Lots to see!
Beautiful campground nestled in the mountain woods. Although private and not spread out it had a cozy feel to it. We had a one night stop over at the end of the season and we were parked on the swift river. They were truly set up to accommodate the camper!! Deer were nearby at dusk and dawn. Town of Ruidoso is fun and interesting shops. Wish we could have spent more time.
After many days on the road it was an easy decision to stay an extra night. Nice wooded campsites. We have a small trailer 18’ and there was no problem with backing in. Because of the Hillside it might present a problem leveling a larger camper. BUT many sites to choose from. We chose a lakeside view. Worth the stay. Nice trails.
Certainly not the RV Park in the only picture they show. This is a large gravel parking lot with a few spits of grass between. Not a tree in site. Check Google maps to see for yourself. Misrepresented.
The people were gracious and the park had all we needed for a quick overnight stay. We could easily walk to Arby’s or Popeyes for dinner. Very popular stop as campers were pulling in all afternoon.
