Driving from east to west coast and our first stop was Harpers Ferry!

This a town that was preserved and turned into an outdoor museum of history. You can go into all the buildings and they are each preserved to what it would have been like back in the day! There is even and exhibit where they explained the architectural thought process from way back when.

The hike up to Jefferson’s Rock is a short but steep stair climb away. My husband and I are in our last 20s and we’re huffing & puffing. But the view up there was absolutely worth it.

There are so so many photo ops, so be prepared to take pictures and just be in awe!

The only thing is that there is no parking in the lower town. You have to park about 4 miles away & costs $10-20 depending on your national park pass, but there is a shuttle that leaves every 10 minutes. It takes about 10 minutes to get down there and there is a mini tour that is blasted on the speakers. So it’s was actually fun!
