I am so glad that we went out of the way to see this place. I didn't think I was afraid of heights until I started climbing the main tower. It is a little scary, but there were 5 year olds making the same climb and they weren't sweatin' it a bit!
So cool to see!
First off, we were confused about WHERE exactly we needed to go. On the highway you will see the giftshop and museum. Then, if you drive across the street into the mountains, you will find the actual GotG. Once we figured that out, it was awesome!
We had a tough time finding a parking spot next to the park and it was on a Monday at around noon. Once we got a spot, the sites were great! Definitely a hike, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and maybe put some sunscreen on. Very beautiful and great for pictures!
This camp site is awesome! The staff is very helpful and the shop has everything you might have forgotten or ran out of. They have $3 all you can eat pancakes every morning! They also have pizza that they make and they will even deliver it right to your camp site! We had a pepperoni pizza delivered to our tent!
The showers were very nice and clean! They play great music in there, too. I was dancing while I took mine! Definitely would stay again.
The staff is super friendly and the campground is well kept! The community showers were definitely acceptable. We had a great stay.
I'm surprised that there are comments that say that the food isn't that great. We LOVED the food. I had enchiladas and my fiance had a burrito. They give you a lot of food.
Also, we saw that an older Volvo station-wagon was parked outside...not sure if that was a coincidence or if the car is there as a prop. Either way, it made our picture look WAY more authentic! So cool to stop by for Breaking Bad pictures!
Was a little hard to find, but we parked inside the little strip mall and walked around until we found it. Super cool!
We dropped in on a Friday around noon and we ran into the Breaking Bad tour (which tours you around in the meth lab RV)! This was definitely worth a stop and a picture. We took the picture from across the street out of respect for the people who live in the house. Nice people!
