Beautiful beautiful property and the front desk was so great. The front desk agent who helped us check in yesterday evening was courteous and had everything ready for us to check in. I’m so sorry I can’t remember your name but, management please pass this along!so so helpful! The room was clean and made us feel right at home. Loved the kitchenette! And the bed was so soft and comfortable, we fell to sleep like rocks. Even with the covid 19 situation, the Homewood didn’t fail it’s guest. They provided a grab and go breakfast bar stocked with plastic wrapped waffles and breakfast bagel halves that had eggs, cheese, and bacon bits on them, yogurt, Orange juice, apple juice, white and chocolate milk, muffins, and cereals. We appreciated it greatly as we have a long drive ahead of us this morning. Thank you Homewood Hilton in Albuquerque, NM. You’re doing a phenomenal job!
Quaint little rest stop. Has picnic seating areas, plenty of trash cans and decent restrooms. We stayed here overnight and tried to sleep in the back of our uhaul truck. Settled down around 10:30pm, the rest stop is well illuminated in its entirety. Beautiful night sky covered in stars. We’re coming from city life where the light pollution doesn’t let us see the night sky so clearly. It was so great. Around 2:06 am we heard coyotes howling and yipping from a distance! We tried to sleep it off but we have a large dog with us and an encounter was definitely worrisome. About 30 min later we heard them again, much closer, so we decided to pack it into the uhaul cabin. We also felt well rested enough to keep going on our way. Definitely wish we could’ve stayed longer.
