Grateful for this option, however be aware that it is a one night thing. There will not be a knock, but a note left on your windshield to be compliant. I wasn’t aware, as I saw other vehicles there for multiple nights - so I overstayed my welcome - but left no longer than a minute after I read the note. I’d hate to see them have to stop extending such a thoughtful gesture.

People spread out and no one was noisy, or disrespectful in any way. It felt safe and I had no trouble sleeping. Nice view of sunset at this time of year too.

I drove in at dusk and wasn’t clear on how it worked. It was self registration. I parked in a $$ spot, but worked out to switch to a different one the next morning, with a very friendly and accommodating park ranger. The sites are very well kept. The leaf blower is the only real noise and doesn’t last all day. If they didn’t clear the small paved roadway, it would become slick and muddy with pine needles and leaves. I’m impressed with the care for the grounds as well as the clean facilities and approachable staff!
