Great little historic spot! For such a small visitors area it packed a punch and it not only kept my interest as an avid history fan but also the five kids I had with me who ranged from ages 7 to 9. An 18 minute film plays on the hour. The room where the film is played also has hands-on items for little ones. Besides visitor center there is the Scruggs House and trails. The road around the property has a bike/walking lane. The staff was great about encouraging the kids to do the Junior Ranger booklets and helped out when they had questions. (JR program is available at all national parks, BTW)
