This was a lovely park. We only stopped to let our dogs out for a bit but enjoyed the view from the hilltop where the stone shelter sits. There was a playground there and another lower down the hill.
This building does still exist. We happened to see it was we drove by, so we pulled off to explore it. The graffiti is interesting and it’s a deteriorating contrast against the beauty of the scene around it.
This is a beautiful place, with dramatic and varied scenic features and absolutely fascinating Ancient Native archaeological structures! You’ll see a lava lake from the volcanic eruption, gorgeous peaks, grasslands, scenic vistas AND the ruins! It was an incredible and awe-inspiring trip for us!
