A wonderful little cottage! The family that's runs the place is so sweet. The house is beautiful and in such a great location. Very affordable, too, for a B&B. I'd highly recommend it!
Such a great place! It's like being on the ocean but without the salty water and sharks. We stopped just long enough to walk along the beach and eat lunch. I'd definitely recommend it!
AMAZING. I cannot say enough about how in love with this place I am. It's absolutely gorgeous; there are ponds outside, walking paths, a labyrinth, and even a resident cat named Einstein who's the sweetest (he's not allowed inside just in case any future guests who many have allergies). The women who run the place are wonderful; my boyfriend and I were their only guests one night and they treated us like royalty, making us homemade cookies and setting out grapes for an afternoon snack, even offering to do our laundry for us (which they subsequently folded). The atmosphere in our room was so relaxing...the bed was incredibly comfortable and they thought of every detail. We felt at home. The cooking, btw, is to die for. If you're looking for real food, home cooked from local resources, this exceeds all expectations. You won't be disappointed by the inn at rustic gate! We can't wait for the opportunity to return there.
The people who run this are the greatest. I came into town for family history research, on a day when the museum wasn't open, and they opened up the museum to me privately. There are so many cool things in this building! And the house itself has history. I'd definitely recommend it!
Absolutely adorable decor! And the food is great, from the two times I've eaten there. However, I did have a bad experience with asking about allergen information. I have a soy allergy and the waitress was very stand-offish about it. She even questioned me on it, asking me if I have an allergy "or something." Other than that, great place to grab dinner or a salad for lunch!
