Absolutely overrated! Essentially you are paying for the road of the rich guys who are living there with your $ 10.50 entrance fee.
Are there beautiful views? Yes, but so are all along Highway 1.
Save your money and spend it at the public Point Lobos State Park just a few miles down the road.

It is beautifully located alongside the river and you sleep right underneath mighty redwood giants.
Very friendly stuff, fair prices, warm shower is included. Laundry facilities on site as well as you can get some goods like egg and butter.
Perfect to get to other attractions in the Big Sur region.
