As beer and food snobs, my husband and I agreed the food was freaking fantastic and the 5 beers we sampled were good. I had the salmon w/ roasted veggies in a mustard sauce and Josh had the Bacon & Fried Egg Burger (it had giant strips of beer battered bacon on it!). We were both incredibly impressed with our meals and they were both reasonably priced around $13. DESTIHL has a huge selection of beers and we built a custom flight of 5 of their brews. All tasty.
We stopped at the DESTIHL location in downtown Champaign and we will definitely come back when we're travelling through this area again!
Looking for somewhere unique to grab an early lunch? This was a fun side stop for us. Put your burger/sandwich order in at the grill and then grab a bag of chips and soda while you wait. Sandwiches are served on plates and meant to be taken outdoors to eat at the picnic tables. Prices were a bit higher than we anticipated for such a hole in the wall - $21 paid for 1 cheeseburger, 1 chicken sandwich, 2 small bags of chips and 1 rootbeer. No indoor potties - if you have to go, head across the street to use the porta potty. All that said, we did have a great meal at this charming little place in the middle of farm county!
