This is a real gem. Having eaten traditional central american food in central america, this place brought back a flood of memories. We met the owner and chef, Manu, who puts his own spin on the recipes. We chatted with him for a bit. Very approachable and a seriously nice guy.

The Empanadas (meaty ones and vegetarian ones!) are amazing. The slow roasted pork sandwiches rival anything I’ve had in the area (the house aoli seeps into the Macrina Bakery bread and it all just melts in your mouth). Roasted beet salad? Yup. And the Pastel Tres Leches (three-milk-cake) is so moist with bit of a zing!

We tried a bunch of stuff. It was all so good. Great happy hour too!

This is one if my favorite thai places. The vegetarian Phad Thai is so good. They package it in this little bundle of food goodness and it's not to sweet, not too spicy but easy to make sweeter or spicier. They have a small rotating menu and everything is delicious. If you're lucky enough to go on a day when they have wings, get them. So good! I can't get enough of their chicken wings. I wish they had them more often. Nice folks too!
