If you plan on visiting Frisco, TX do not book your accommodations with the Hampton Inn & Suites Legacy Park 3199 Parkwood Blvd., Frisco, TX. This past Friday; my daughter and I check in for our girls weekend at this Frisco location. Our 1st room smelled like cigarette smoke. I was not up set, because some smokers will smoke in hotel room even when they know it is not allowed. I just asked that we be moved to a new room. The hotel apologize for the inconvenience and promptly moved us to a new room. After we got the room key, we dropped our bags off in the room and headed out for dinner and shopping. While we were out, the hotel re-booked our room!!! When we returned we had no clue why our digital room keys would not work. We went down to the front desk and this is when the staff discovered their error. A staff member stated that the new guest they booked into our room had left the premises. So, another staff member went up to retrieve our bags based on the description of our bags that we provided. Less than a minute later he called the front desk from the hotel room where our bags should have been (keep in mind we did not unpack), stating that he did not see our bags only the luggage of the new guest. Leaving the front desk we quickly went to the room where the staff member was waiting for us. In the location where I had left my bag now was my dumped out clothing. It had been rummage through and multiple items were missing (including my bag). My daughter’s bag had also been vandalized and multiple items were missing from her bag as well. The items that were stolen by the new guest were: my $100 backpack, my daughter’s AirPods, an iPhone charger, Apple Watch charger, my daughters wallet with about $20 in cash, & personal items (comb, hair brush, bath soap, toothpaste, lotion, and deodorant). What typed of person steals personal items!! The hotel quickly admitted that it was their error that caused this situation and offered to move us to another room. We felt so victimized that we decided to check out instead. The hotel staff apologized and said that we should probably file a police report for the thief of our property (which I was planning on doing anyway). We waited in the lobby for the police to arrive. At some point during this time, the new guest returned, yet the hotel staff did not mention anything about the ordeal to them! It was not until the police arrived and requested that the new guest be called down did the hotel staff even let them know that there was an issue. The new guest denied see/knowing that anyone else’s bags were in the room even though my bath soap, deodorant, toothpaste were laid out on the counter in the room. These items had been in our unpacked bags!!! I hate a lier and a thief! The police took their report and said a detective would follow up with us on Monday. The other guest went back to their room and enjoyed their weekend without ever admitting to anything. The hotel said sorry and that they would contact their corporate office on Monday to see what they could do. I am furious!!!! We were guest at this hotel and their error completely ruined our weekend plans, yet no one from this hotel, it’s corporate office, or the dishonest guest seem to be affected by this situation. The burden of findings new accommodations for the weekend, dealing with the loss/replacement of our property, following up with the police department, as wells as just being emotionally shaken by the whole ordeal lies solely on my daughter and I. This situation still has yet to be resolved and I will not stop perusing the matter until the hotel/company takes responsibility for their actions. I will never book accommodations at this location again and I will continue to share my story with anyone who will listen and encourage the listener to do the same! We moved less than a minute away to the Sandman Signature Hotel located at 8451 Parkwood Blvd., Plano, TX 75024. We arrived at 11:30pm emotionally drained and with multiple plastic laundry bags, because the thieves stole my bag. When the staff at the Sandman Hotel heard about our ordeal they were more apologetic than the Hampton Inn.
