We stayed at the Carbella BLM Rec area up the road and this was a great option before traveling to the Tetons! Well stocked conscience store as well!

When we arrived there were 5 other RVs parked up in the smaller of the parking lots so we moved over to the next lot so we wouldn’t be on top of another rig. Maybe this was our biggest mistake because vehicles circled us throughout the night as well as the next day! There was a guy who spent 2+ hours just driving around the empt parking lot and at one point attempted to park up against our airstream (there are hundreds of empty spots so NO reason to park against us). Had to go outside and tell home to move! While security did come around all night it is close to a busy road and was not quiet. At about 3am a collection of muscle cars were on the road behind us Erving their engines for about 30 minutes. I always appreciate a free night when we can’t get into our spot or need a break in a long drive this was not a great experience.
Pros: very level, paved, right off the highway
Cons: noise, people acting weird with their vehicles around us, cell service (only 2 bars for both Verizon and ATT)

This was an amazing stay and we wished we could have stayed longer. They only have a few spots currently but are working to expand. There are not many options in Marfa but that doesn’t mean they have slacked on making their park nice. Each spot is paved, level and has a large canopy. We woke up to the most stunning view over the West Texas desert.

This campground was ok. It was rather buggy even being one of the furthest sits from the river. A couple of the sites that back up to the river can go down to the river. Site had sewer, water, and electric (50amp/30amp). water pressure was so bad we ended up filling our tank and using our pump. Sites were level. We were here in mid July and it was sooo hot! (90+ degrees everyday with near 100% humidity). This is a very common stop along the Appalachia Trail and the bathhouses were pretty dirty. While we had 2 bars of Verizon LTE very little would work on these. You will need a booster if you rely on cell service.
Only 2 sites would be suitable if you use Starlink: C1 and C4 - no other site was good enough (many us tried at different locations)

We did book the mineral hot tubs and that was by far the best part but it is expensive.

When you arrive be sure you go to the resort first and check in to get the code because there is no way to turn around if you pull into the campground entrance and no one was there at the booth.

The town of Hot Springs is SMALL but has a nice brewery. Bring what you need because its about 25 minutes back to a grocery store.

Overall you are staying here because you cannot get into Yosemite and it's close. Getting to this campground is not for the faint of heart as you are going to drive a VERY steep, winding road to get here. Once you arrive know there are no level spots. We have stayed at many Thousand Trails across the country and the spots at this location were some the worst maintained. We had a heck of time getting level with our 5th Wheel. Most of the spots had large ruts that could not be avoided. There is ZERO cell service here and you will need to drive 10+ miles to get any type of usable service. The park wifi is virtually non-existent. Don't waste your money to pay for the paid wifi because it doesn't work and no one can help you with it. They give you a phone number to call for help so that's funny because you have to drive 10 miles to make a call to get the wifi at you site to work. There is roaring cell service in Yosemite valley! We ended up driving into the park to work.
The park did offer a nice club house that was really large, a nice store and a gas station which is the only station for miles! The park was quiet and the staff was friendly.

When I booked this reservation they asked my length and height (31' fifth wheel) and assigned me a spot. When I arrived they had someone else in the spot I had booked and they stuck us in another spot. The "entrance" the site was a joke and not designed for a 30+ foot RV, especially a 5th wheel. We ended up having to drive on their lawn to get level/straight in the site and had to drive over the lawn to leave the site. The staff was not helpful at all despite going back to them about the site. They had multiple "sites" that were literally the park road. Thankfully there were not a lot of people there because we would have had a heck of a time getting out the park.

We stayed here because of its proximity to DV park entrance and we needed cell service. Next time we would just boondock or stay in the park itself since this place was NOT worth $36. There is a gas station by the RV Park but know its about $0.40 more per gallon than the gas station IN Death Valley park. I did not use the rest room, but my husband said it was the dirtiest bathroom he had ever been in. There are other options that would likely be a better option.

We really enjoyed this state park campground. Each loop had its own bathhouse that was clean and had HOT water and good water pressure. Sites had water and electric. Visited in the end of June and the weather was perfect temps! Nice easy to access dump station.

The campground was in a good location to reach much of the trailheads you'll want to visit. Not much cell service within campground and we didn't have our weboost so not sure how that would have helped. Best to come with some movies downloaded incase there's not great weather.

If you're coming for the rhododendron festival you'll need to book as soon as it opens as it fills right up.

Upper loops for smaller rigs and a lower loop for larger rigs. Larger rigs would not be able to make the turns in the upper loops even if the sites are long enough. Would stay in lower loop if longer than ~26 feet.

Pros: This park is nicely located near downtown Palm Springs and only about 1 hour drive to Joshua Tree. It has two nice pools (one adult only) and a nice hot tub. The Mobile home park (nicely maintained) have full access to the pool area and we found most people using the pool live at that park. Everyone we met were incredibly friendly. All spots are paved.

Cons: These are the tightest, most unloved spot we have every experienced in nearly a year of full-time RVing. We barely fit our 31" 5th wheel in the stand our pin stabilizer was nearly in the road. We had to park our TV in the small space provided next to our RV that was so close we couldn't access our passenger doors. Bring as many leveling blocks as you have. We used all 12 we carry with us to get level. If you are longer than 30" and have a nay type of tow vehicle you may want to look else where.
