We stayed one night, on our way to Banff, 8/12/2019.

Site #73 is a beautiful back-in site, which a view out the back of the site overlooking the lake. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL campsite we've stayed in! Large gravel site, with new picnic table with grill shelf, and fire ring. Site was nearly level. There is no lake access at our site, as there is a small drop-off to the lake level. The trees part to show us the lake, which had a layer of fog in the morning. There is a trail behind our campsite, which goes around the campground. There is access to a lagoon, as well as the lake front, elsewhere in the park.

Arriving with a reservation, we went directly to our site, set up, and checked in by walking back to the entrance.

Access to the park is a bit away from Revelstoke, the nearest town. ~ 30 kilometers, so bring what you need for your stay. Nice, well-maintained road to the park; no problem with a big rig.

The site is boondocking, with water spigot and trash nearby. There are a couple of vault toilets nearby, as well as a bath house closer to the entrance with free, hot showers. Nice and new, and well-kept. The bath house includes a sink outside for dishwashing.

The campground was quiet, with lots of space between site, and lots of privacy.

The rangers were friendly, and gave us our "Bear Aware" instructions to keep our site clean.

One point - don't forget your mosquito repellant!

Firewood is available at the entrance, with a wagon to drag it back to the campsite. I think it was $7 for more than we burned in an evening.

Just a beautiful, quiet place to spend some time.

A short hike to a waterfall near the entrance to the park.

We stayed one night, on our way back to the US from a few days in Banff, 8/17/2019. $33 Canadian for a boondocking site. The booth at the entrance had a sign indicating reserved/open sites for the night, and instructions to check in with the staff when they come around the sites.

The campground was filled with families, lots of kids on bikes. (okay, a little noisy, but not enough to interrupt my nap!). Our site may have been a little further away from neighbors than many on the inner loops; would pick this site again on a future visit.

There is good access to the lake, with a boat ramp and boat trailer parking. One negative - our dog was generally welcomed at the Canadian parks, but was not welcome at the waterfront at this campground.

The sites are large, well-maintained, with gravel pads, new picnic table, fire ring. Firewood available for purchase. They are fairly well-spaced, with trees between the sites. The trees, though, do not provide much privacy, as there aren't many lower branches. The loop road around the campground, where our site was located, is two-way; it would have been a little easier to back in if we had come in counter-clockwise.

There are two large bathhouses, with free, hot showers. Nice, new, clean. There are water spigots and trash cans located around the park, so it won't be far from your site to wash your dishes or fill your water bottles. Dump station on the way out of the park, with good access.

We stayed overnight, as a shakedown trip to de-winterize our trailer for an upcoming long weekend.

The RV park is a large asphalt parking area, tucked in between the casino parking garage and the Agate Pass bridge. The park is about half back-in spaces, and about half pull-throughs, which could accommodate the largest RV. Each site has water, 20-30-50 amp service, and sewer. The spots are reservable.

It' a short walk across the parking lot to enter the casino, which is open 24 hours with a variety of games. There are clean bathrooms, and free coffee and soda on the gambling floor. The casino has live music on the weekends. During the summer, there are concerts on the grounds, overlooking Agate Pass. There are five restaurants, including a buffet and a fine dining steak and seafood restaurant. The grounds also includes a hotel, and spa.

The RV park is $30 per night. For an additional $5 per person, you can have access to the hotel pool, fitness center, and outdoor hot tub.

You need to get a "Players Club card" in order to pay for your spot. The Players Club is in the casino, and you can pay for the RV spot at the hotel front desk, which is a bit of a walk. Don't go to the hotel desk first, or you'll have to backtrack to get your Players Club card. You don't need to gamble, but you are entered into a monthly $100 drawing just for joining.

The grounds are dog-friendly. There is a small "dog walking" section, but we had no trouble walking the rest of the grounds with our pup.

There is security making the rounds of the RV park periodically, and available at every entrance.

Our stay was quiet, but we had our windows closed and heat on; I can imagine some road noise during summer months, and perhaps some noise from other guests on busier nights.

We'll likely stay again, for some of the special event concerts in the summer.

Four stars, since it's not exactly "camping". The grounds and surrounding area are just beautiful, and a short drive and ferry ride to Seattle.

The station sits on a corner lot, and has easy access. There are TWO dump stations, across from each other. Adjacent to what appears to be a closed campground, so it was easy to pull around a loop.

Dump station fee is $7.

THERE IS NO WATER at the dump station, so we couldn’t use our tank flush.

We live 6 miles from this campground, and spent a couple nights in our brand spankin’ new Airstream!

I’m afraid it wasn’t all that great.

We reserved online. There really wasn’t any contact with the ranger or host. Just parked at our spot.

The RV spots are lined up on the edge of a field, in the open. No privacy. Maybe only 10 feet between parking pads.

Gravel pads, which are a bit muddy, need to have some new gravel.

The site was somewhat dirty with trash when we arrived.

We had a spot with 50 amp service and water, but no sewer. No problem; we’ll use the dump station on the way out. THE DUMP STATION IS NOW CLOSED. There are other sites with full hookups.

The neighbors were a mix of nice RV’s, and others that you might not want parked in front of your house. The tent two sites from us packed up at dark, left for an hour, and then returned to set up the tent again some time after 10pm, with hammering in tent spikes and a radio or TV after that.

The bathrooms are nice, modern, fairly clean.

We stayed here at the end of September, 2020.

It was just what we needed, after boondocking on a (shade-less) parking lot in Kanab for a few days. We arrived at this park to find that our site was wonderfully SHADED!

We arrived to find the dump station on a hill, as we entered the park. Plenty of room, though, to dump and fill our fresh tanks.

The entrance to the camping area is undergoing some work, as they are building a new visitor center, at the foundation stage while we were there. Some construction noise during the day, but not bothersome.

The campground has two loops - the Wide Hollow campground, and the smaller Lake View campground. We stayed at site #6, which is in the Wide Hollow loop. There are a few Water/Electric sites in the campground, but #6 is without services.

We found our site to be big enough for our trailer and truck, and we were pleasantly surprised that it was nicely shaded. I think it was my favorite spot in the park. Oh, and if you choose to stay in #6, you should know that there is a freshwater spigot for all to use near the site, so you can fill up your tank there, if you have nothing to dump on the way in. (it's not your personal water supply, of course; don't leave your hose hooked up.)

I agree that the layout of the park is a bit odd - there are a number of sites which are just wide areas in the campground road, to pull your vehicle over. And, the campground is a little hilly; some sites are quite unlevel. Might be good to review some campsite photos before reserving a site.

The lake was a bit low, and the water was more brown/green than we are used to here in the Pacific Northwest. I'm not sure that I'd want to swim in it. We did see some deer along the waterfront one evening.

The hikes from the campground are wonderful, with amazing petrified trees. You don't have to go far to see specimens, though, as there is one serving as a parking barrier in front of the bathhouse, and an area near the day use parking which has a nice display as well.

The campsite had a covered picnic table, as most, if not all, did.

The bathhouse was modern and had nice showers. I will say, though, that we didn't see it cleaned while we were there - the women's bathroom had no hand soap, although the men's did. (Does that say something about the habits of my fellow males?)

We also saw that there was some clearing of brush, it appeared, along the lake front. We were confused by seeing a few people who appeared to be camping outside of established campsites, either along the lake front, or at what are picnic sites near the boat ramp and exit.

The campground is a great "jumping off point" for exploring nearby Escalante National Monument, including Highway 12. Don't miss a hike to Lower Calf Creek Falls (https://www.visitutah.com/places-to-go/parks-outdoors/grand-staircase-escalante/escalante-canyons-section/family/lower-calf-creek-falls/), but get to the parking area early, or you'll have trouble finding a spot.

Made for a lovely respite from the sun for a few days.

We stayed here overnight on our way back to the PNW from our time in the Utah National Parks, in early October, 2020.

It was convenient stop off the highway.

Nicely kept, quiet, safe park, with a few rigs which seemed more long-term.

The site was pull-through, level pad, with nice grass, a good picnic table, and a gravel pad alongside the trailer for parking your tow vehicle, if needed. Our truck and 26' trailer fit in the site easily. No real shade for the pull-through sites.

We noticed that the first couple of sites were empty, and appeared to be where a camp host would be located. Self-serve payment kiosk.

Unfortunately, we found that a couple of things missing from our stay. The printed list of park info at registration kiosk had a hand-written "CLOSED" marked over the place to note the WIFI password, and the shower/restroom codes. I also noticed that the TENT area had been closed. I don't know if these are COVID pandemic measures, or a change that might be more long term, but might be worth a call ahead of time if you need these services.

Definitely will stay here again, if we find the timing right for an overnight.

We stayed here for two nights, mid week, while visiting Arches National Park, in early October, 2020.

We had not made any camping reservations, and found that RV parks and campgrounds near Moab were all booked, and had been booked solid for weeks, during this pandemic camping boom.

We thought we might try stopping here, and were very happy to find about half the sites to pick from, arriving in the mid afternoon on a weekday.

We tucked our 26' Airstream in site #6, which was just big enough. It was fairly level, but it did back up to some other sites, so not the most private. It was SHADY, which was a wonderful thing in hot Utah. And, the sound of the rushing river just a few yards away was wonderful.

One concern - the trees surrounding the central campsites have a lot of dead limbs up higher - would not want to stay here on a windy night. And, like the rest of Utah, it's pretty dusty.

The sunrise on the surrounding towering rock is beautiful.

This is also known as Swasey Beach, and it is located 8 miles north of Green River. The paved road ends at the boat launch there, and the campground is just a quarter-mile further, over a gravel road in fair repair. Just take it slow.

No services, very limited cell phone service - perfect! There are a couple of pit toilets. We did not see any staff come to clean or restock the toilets while we were there.

We did have some dust from the gravel road, as a local farmer was shuttling cattle in his trailer all afternoon, until dark.

The drive to Arches National Park wasn't bad, and we were able to arrive early enough to find some parking by leaving the campground before sunrise.

We were very happy to have found the spot, as the BLM spots along the route to Arches looked wide open, no shade, and were pretty full, as we drove into the park for the day.

We'll definitely consider staying again, if our travel plans find us in the area.
