Situated on a small island accessible from Lubec, Maine via bridge. Finding the campground is easy by following signs to Herring Cove. Greeted by great staff who quietly and constantly maintain the sites and facilities. Well spaced, flat sites arranged to provide easy access and privacy. Choice of meadow sites or shaded. The site we stayed at was shaded.
Several pleasant paths to beach or Roosevelt International Park.
Relaxing, quiet camping experience. 40 of the sites have electric. Water is available at spigots throughout the park and we were not advised /cautioned to boil before drinking as of August 11, 2018. Showers were clean and provided plenty of hot water. Weather can vary from one side of the island to the other, fog may roll in/disappear in minutes! We had hiking trails and long stretches of beach completely to ourselves. Viewed whales, seals and eagles and ate great seafood! Great escape from the August heat!
No cell service with Verizon but might have some international service available for which we did not opt.

Stayed in April 2018 during what we learned was also a school break. Appeared to be no vacancies! Lots of families with big rigs, bikes and kids. No issues with noise or loud parties. Very quiet after sunset.
Most sites FHU. Asphalt/concrete pads, easy access and although you are close to your neighbor the sites are not lined up like parking lot spaces.Limited shade. Clean, large bath houses. Nice laundry, playground, tennis courts and big pool. Short drive to beach (see prior reviews for helpful details). Terrific walking/biking paths.

Located on the edge of Montezuma NWR this is a large, quiet campground. Clean bathhouse and laundry, fenced dog park! Pool, playground, volleyball and bocce courts, access to water with onsite marina. Next to original Erie Canal and nestled in terrific wildlife setting.
Owners have filled low lying sites with generous amount of crushed rock so even in a downpour I could set up with out standing in mud!!! Seasonal, well kept campers seem to occupy the majority of the sites.Pull through sites will accommodate bigger rigs. Site spacing is adequate.

Rolled in after a long drive and was warmly greeted. Quiet small park with flat, shaded sites not far from Mass Turnpike. ( I found the directions to the location a bit confusing and my GPS was of little help but that could have been driver's burn out, too..)
The online reservation required a 2 night stay but I suspect if I had just driven up then a one night would have been allowed. Out of state residents pay $27/nt. MA residents pay $17.
Clean bath/shower facilities but no RV hook ups for elec/water/sewer.There were only two other RVs using the 'RV loop' of the campground and the sites seemed fairly small and very close. A large group of tent campers were nearby in a 'tent only loop' and having a loud time but knocked off before 11. If the campground was fully occupied I am not sure I would have stayed.
I arrived in May and not surprisingly, the bugs were very active...especially ticks.
I do not intend this to be a totally negative review but I just was not very impressed.

28 sites at a riverside marina. Nicely shaded with FHU. Appears most waterfront sites were designed for Class A Motorhomes to pull in and face the river. Utilities at those sites are on left side of the site. (Tow-able trailers allowed to pull in and back out.) Other sites are back-in or pull through. Quiet despite not being far from interstate 90. Occasionally, freight trains came through nearby but I did not find the trains disturbing. (light sleepers might want to use earplugs).Review on another website mentioned nearby water treatment plant. No smells or activity noted during this visit.Clean, spacious bathhouse facilities. The process for check in and payment was very 'low tech'. Apparently the municipality is trying to keep things simple with phone reservation/1st come 1st serve and credit card payment upon arrival. No cash accepted. NOTE: water pressure very high, bringing your own adjustable gauge would be best.
