We booked this hotel on our way home from New York. The hotel is off the beaten path and in a nice area. The room was very clean, but the walls were paper thin. I could hear gentleman burping in the hallway. Ha ha! I would recommend to stay in for an evening. There is also a refrigerator and microwave in the room.
We visited Liberty State Park because it was close to our hotel. We were able to book the ferry to take us over to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. I really enjoyed visiting the park. It was very relaxing and you were able to see the one World Trade Center. When you arrive, at the site, you'll be directed to go through a white tent for security purposes before getting on the ferry. We actually visited this during the off-season and we did not wait in line for anything. I would hate to go when it is in season because it is huge and there's a lot of walking and a lot of lines! You also have to park in the ferry parking lot, which is paid parking. It is also heavily patrolled by police which makes it very safe!
We stayed at this hotel for one night. Every room was a suite which included a mini kitchen. The area was very nice and we were able to see the Hudson from our room. The best part was there was one side parking and it was gated. We felt really safe saying at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and accommodating. We are also able to order food from the Cheesecake Factory which was delivered by DoorDash.
We were transporting our dogs to JFK airport to send them to Hawaii, we stopped at this reservoir. This is actually a state park and pets are allowed. Pets are allowed anywhere besides the beach areas. There are four picnic areas and you were able to walk around the reservoir. The trails are really nice and flat to walk. It was a really nice stop before taking the dogs onto the airport! They were able to exercise!
Stop and visit Main Street right beside the Old Mill. Lots of little shops to browse!
