Something for everyone here. Lots of carnival type rides, food stands with fried artichokes, garlic fries, pizza, fried twinkies, funnel cakes and other Fair type food. Don't skip the arcade with old school games along side the newer video games and with reasonable prices. There is a huge stage right on the beach for summer concerts at night. You are just a few steps from the beach where you can swim, build sand castles or just lay out to tan and relax; and you are just a short walk to the pier for fishing, shopping and more eating.
You can spend your whole day here and not run out of things to do. The parking is close ($) and you can easily run back to the car for beach chairs, after miniature golf or your laser tag game. Don't forget your sunscreen!

I think this is worth checking out once, but it was a bit overpriced and the tour in the summer was long and very hot/stuffy. There are some really interesting things that this eccentric woman had done to her home, and it is a beautiful home. Kids might get a little bored, except for climbing up the many petite staircases or checking out the gift shop. The bummer is none of the original furnishings are in the house, because they had been sold. They tried to replace some furniture with authentic pieces from that time, but many rooms are empty.

Fun and unusual tour of gravity defying area in the mountains of Santa Cruz.
Trees grow differently and things roll upwards. People lean at extreme angles and don't fall over...several demonstrations and things to try on this simple, quick but fun tour. Reasonably priced and fun for the whole family.
