We only stayed for a weekend in a 40ft class A; but loved all there was to do. Beach area; visitor center; marina just to name a few. COE camping at it’s finest.

Well without the blue green algae in the lake this would be a very campground with a pool. They advise no contact with the lake so it was disappointing. However the campsites are paved with decent sized grassy campsites. We camped here in a 40 ft class A and had no issues.

We stayed here in a 40’ class A RV. Not a lot of sites fit our rig, but loved location and proximity to Rocky Mtn NP. Spent 2 days kayaking on Granby Lake and had many sandy beaches in campground to hang out with our 2 dogs. This campground puts you into west entrance and is about a 45 min ride to Bear Lake region of RMNP but this let us check out the rest of park on our way out. We enjoyed our stay - bathhouse was clean and campground was well maintained. We did get some road noise, but didn’t notice after a day.

Stayed here over 4th holiday weekend and I don’t agree with other reviews. Underwhelmed - stayed in a 40ft class A. Surrounding area is beautiful and so are mountain views but no real sites so it was crowded - not my style of boondocking. Took a beautiful hike to Bear Lake and had a blast - need a 4wd for drive to trailhead. But well worth it - used Alltrails app and found it easily. Turquoise lake is just a short drive but we were not impressed. We preferred Salida area.

Stayed here Sun - Thurs after the 4th of July. Need reservations before you arrive. Ranger station has limited hours to register. Online booking easy. Keep in mind that the $18 listed by others is only the camping fee. You also need to have a Colorado State Park Pass for every vehicle (including our toad) for each day you are camping. With tax that is closer to $45 per day. Lots of open sites to choose from midweek. Lake is great for kayaking and fishing. Beautiful views and sunsets. Totally unshaded but temperatures are perfect in July. And solar works great. BUT every day around 3 PM the wind blows off the lake. It is very unpredictable and very strong at times. Can make being outside tough at times. And be careful with your awning! Still, great relaxing place.
Cell service was crazy. First two days all that worked on Verizon was voice. Couldn’t text or email and forget internet. Suddenly the 3rd day we were streaming YouTube. Can’t explain it.

Beautiful site right off water. Beware of gusty winds in afternoon- ripped our awning off. Very desolate and no stores of any kind around. Very hit or miss verizon cell service.
