Stopped by here while trying to find The Rose of the Lake. There is a nice little bench that has a great view of the lighthouse.

The things Buffalo Bills has going for it are that it's on the border of CA and NV, and it looks kinda fun. The rooms seemed okay but when trying to sleep I found myself very cold with only a double layer of sheets and a heating vent that I wasn't able to use.

I stop here to stretch my legs and take some pictures. But that's about it.

Front desk staff was very nice, and they had a lot of information about surrounding sites to see. I would suggest a room on the 2nd level. Mine was on the first and I heard a guy standing outside talking on his phone very clearly.
Room itself is good, king bed seems like a Cal King. Everything was tidy. Continental breakfast left something to be desired but maybe that's just because I was craving eggs. There is a Denny's really close by so not all is lost.
I give it a 4 for the location and the front desk staff.
If you stay here not knowing about Horse Shoe Bend you MUST look it up and see it either at sunset or sunrise while you are staying at this hotel. It is so close and one of the most beautiful places in the US. (Personal opinion)

Not the best or the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Not sure if I am allowed to use the air conditioner/heater but oh well. All rooms are accessed from inside hallways (at least on 2nd and 3rd floor). Right behind/basically connected to a Super 8. Might show up as a Super 8 when put into maps on iPhones.
Front desk was very kind and helpful, room is nothing special but the price can't be beat.

I highly suggest an early morning visit to this place. Walking up to it in the early morning light was surreal and made me slightly dizzy (in a good way if that's even possible). Sit down on the edge, let your feet dangle off and enjoy the color show as the sun rises higher. If you are looking to take pictures have a wider angle lens. It's not easy to fit the whole thing in one picture with kit lenses or iPhones. It can be done using pano though. It will be low light in the morning so a tripod wouldn't hurt either.
Be prepared to walk through soft sand, it's not a difficult hike by any means but the sand is quite beach like.
I can't believe I was there this morning, I can't wait to go back in the future. Maybe next time I'll try for a sunset.
