It is a pain to get off the highway to get to it due to tolls but it is only about 10 min from the highway. The totems are interesting it would have definitely been better to go during the summer when the gift shop was open but otherwise it was a nice place to get out of the car for a bit. There is a porta potty for a restroom.
Good place to get out and let everyone get some exercise. They trails are nicely kept and the information on the fort is interesting. The restrooms were in very nice condition as well.
We had a fun time getting out and stretching our legs at this little stop. The lady was very informative and she was able to answer all of our questions. There is also a park for kids to run around and restroom.
We watched the sunrise there and it was defiantly worth the stop. Make sure you get there early so you can park up in the top parking lot so you won't have to climb up a whole bunch of steps.
This is a wonderful resort with tons of things to do. For kids and adults there is an arcade, bowling alley, outdoor games, heated pool, hot tubs, lake, hiking, and a really big playground. There is usually live entertainment in the evening and there is a general store if you forgot something and don't want to go into town. The cabins themselves are kept nice and clean and they are new. We were very pleased with our stay. They also have golf carts to rent.
This is a very off the beaten track backroad through the mountains. It takes you by some pretty waterfalls and hiking trails. It is a one way so you have to enter for the east side of the park and you will exit by the Alpine visitor center. Most people don't bother but all of the tour buses do take their visitors on this road.
Do yourself a favor and take this drive. It was such an amazing ride through the canyons and plenty of places to stop and see the river. We drove the entire stretch of road and it was like we were in a western movie. Make sure you take it slow there are so many things to see.
It is a very easy trail to hike up to it. You can continue and climb up into the arches but I enjoyed just getting close. (It was almost 102 degrees that day.) The trail is easy to walk on and not steep. It took me about 30 minutes to get there and back.
This is just a quick viewpoint make sure you read the plaque. Definitely worth a 5 minute stop.
I really wish we could have hiked this trail. Our 2 year old was asleep so all we were able to do was check out the viewpoint. It was one of my favorite spots in the park. Go early or in the evening to get a really awesome experience.
