The kids loved this stop. A bit out of the way, in the middle of nowhere. The park rangers were so helpful. My kids finished the Jr. ranger program while we were there. Stopped at the engine house to see the Jupiter and No. 119 and it was worth it. Mike was helpful there in answering questions. Definitely worth the drive! Stop at Holden Spike Burgers in Corinne!
We LOVED this place. Didn't arrive until later in the day. Used our fourth grader to gain free entrance ( see Every Kid in a Park national park program). Parked directly in main visitor center lot. Picked up Junior Ranger booklets. Kids worked through them and watched theater movie which was great. Observed wildlife, stood at the rim and tried to watch sunset but it was too overcast. A beautiful evening with family. Memorable experience for the kids!
