This is no longer a KOA, it is now SacWest RV park. http://www.sacwestrvpark.com/
It has remnants of being a KOA and is a good place to stay due to the location (4 miles from Sacramento restaurants and 9 miles from Davis). It is right off of Interstate 80 which means it is convenient to go anywhere, but it is also loud. The sites are just large enough for an RV/awning, but there is no privacy whatsoever. Sites are gravel.

This is in the heart of the 3 Pines campgrounds and is more reliably open than the other station in YNP on Tioga Rd. There are 2 lanes with separate stations for fresh water fillling and dumping. One of the fresh water spigots didn't really work, but everything else did and it was free.

This park is on the 'Fairbanks' side of Tok and would be worth driving the 1 mile west on the Alaska Highway. It is not crowded because of its location, each site is separated by trees, the showers/restrooms are nice and there is a paved bike path into town. The only drawback is that the (pretty fast) internet is only available at the campground office, but they have TV and good seating in the office.

The only complaint was the smell from the stables when the wind is just right. But if you stay in a high number spot, you'll reduce your chances of smelling it. This was super convenient to bike the path (or walk it) to everything in the valley. There is a shuttle bus stop very nearby too.

You can walk to the beach about 1/2 mile away via a trail (and crossing 101 but it wasn't hard). There are lots of trees and a pond. The most unusual thing is the nightly German food and entertainment. The food and beer are good and the owner is very passionate about serving the guests and entertaining them. There is a set menu each night and you need to make a reservation.

We were in Eugene for the Olympic Trials and the parks that we have enjoyed the most were full, so this was a good fall back option. There are many people living here and the sites are very close to one another. The facilities are good and well maintained. It is not the best option if you want to be close to the heart of Eugene, but you can get there easily via Coburg Road. Camping World is very close by (we walked) if you need anything.

Grounds are kind of tight and the turn may be able to miss off of Hwy 101. You get to pick your site, then register at the Gold Beach Inn lobby. We called for a reservation the morning of 7/8 and the park was full by 5pm.

We parked here in anticipation of going into Yosemite NP the next day, but there were things to do in this area too. The Delecato winery (Gnarly Head + other wines) is within walking distance and there is a golf course all around the RV park. Privacy is decent and if you get a site backing up to a fairway or the 'lake', it is nice. There is also a fitness center (for a fee) and a sport bar onsite.

This is a great location for Tioga Rd activities in Yosemite NP. There is more privacy than on the valley floor. Our spot required a stabilizing/leveling miracle but my husband pronounced it the best spot for our solar panels (they recharged to from 86 to 100% each day). Apparently there are more level spots in the park (especially in the 500 loop). No cell service no matter what.

Good spacious sites with plenty of room between occupants. Nice showers with extreme water pressure. Good access to walk along the Columbia River. Oregon visitor's center within very close walking distance. The only drawback is how loud the bridge and highway traffic are all night. But we knew that based on how close the park is to the bridge.
