Mt. Auburn Cemetery is simply my favorite cemetery. Some 170 acres of landscaping artistry combined with gothic architecture and gravestones dating back to the 1830's. The monuments are absolutely stunning. Whether you are into horticulture, bird watching, history, a stroll in the park, or are a downright taphophile, this is the place for sure. Some famous graves you'll find here are: Dorothea Lynde Dix, Mary Baker Eddy, Fannie Farmer, Isabella Stewart Gardner, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Julia Ward Howe, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Amy Lowell, & BF Skinner.
