I don't know if this is the right address listed on RoadTrippers. It didn't seem to take me to the correct place. The lighthouse is a hike from a Nature Reserve (a few miles away)... so that means don't go if you've got your dog. They aren't allowed. So this was a little disappointing for me. I believe they have several trails to walk.
I didn't hate Forks, but there's really not much here other than a bunch of Twilight theme named businesses. The Welcome To Forks sign has been better days with several letters falling off. I think this is mostly a place for fisherman to stay when on fishing trips.
The people I talked to in the town were all pleasant. But the most exciting thing I saw while in Forks was a family of elk stop traffic on the 101 in the middle of town as they slowly made their way across the street. Ha!
I don't even know why this is listed in here. There is nothing to see.
There is NOTHING to see here. Don't waste your time. The Coast Guard station isn't open to the public anyway.
Local chain. Four different kinds of chili...all yummy. Chili is served about six different ways: By the bowl, over spaghetti, over rice, over Fritos, over cornbread, over tater tots (I think that's all). Good burgers. Good salads. Fair prices.
It's just a stretch of beach with a mailbox. Not too exciting. Sunset Beach in general is nice though. Good family beach not overly crowded.
